On New Year's Eve 2022,Emma, Su and Jay assembled a team and joined the 5k your way party at Stretford with our senior trainee Katherine. It was cold and wet but the atmosphere was warm and the humour dry.
On 25th September 2022, Jay completed the Warrington Half Marathon and MENTORS was featured in none other than the Warrington Guardian.
The 4th September 2022 saw Emma and Jay complete the Altrincham 10k cheered on by our lead senior dietician, Anna.
This is what it's about, the 4th September 2022 was our annual garden party. The atmosphere at The Bull's Head was relaxed and fun, the group welcoming and many of our lovely patients and team members were present. As always the food and entertainment were paid for by the MENTORS foundation and all were welcome with no need to RSVP.
The first garden party took place in August of 2019 in Alderley Edge and was well attended confirming our suspicion that there was a demand for informal events and the creation of a support network. It gave us the momentum we required to keep moving forward with MENTORS.
It all began in May 2019 when we floated the idea of doing a team run to raise fund for our patients to have an informal get together. The team quickly went from two, to four, to over 30 members of staff running and supporting with help from Pentax. This was the Manchester 10k and was unforgettable.
